Betrice Coleman-Sweet started writing at an early age. She wrote about her life experiences growing up in South Central Los Angeles. It started out with poetry and short stories. Throughout her career she began to edit and write key documents for chief corporations and non-profit organizations. Eventually her desire for putting the pen to the pad led up to her writing articles for various media outlets. She also had a distinct passion for serving the community and building powerful relationships.
In 2007, Betrice became Editor/VP of Marketing for Treaz’ure Magazine (Treazuremg.com) which was a leading women’s online magazine. Betrice, or “B” as she is called by her colleagues and clients interviewed some of today’s leading women from the entertainment industry to activists such as Hip/Hop Artists Nicki Minaj, Diamond and Suga-T, Comedienne/Actress Luenell, Hip Hop’s renowned DJ Spinderella, R&B sensation Adina Howard, Community Activist and Founder of The Kierrah Foundation Brandy Sanders and many more. She has covered and coordinated some of Hollywood’s astonishing red carpet events such as fashion shows, concerts and benefits/fundraisers.
B’s love for communication and community compelled her to create Serving Angels Media in February 2009. Her vision is to uplift and “shine the light” on the individuals, organizations, and companies whose purpose is to give to the communities in which they serve. Serving Angels is a “full-service” PR/Communications Consulting Firm. Services include the latest in social media marketing, press kits, article write-ups, branding, administrative, event planning and campaigns. Serving Angels Media also hosts workshops presented by transformational, leadership, community and industry leaders throughout Los Angeles. She is diligent with assessing her client’s needs to get them the maximum exposure. The motto for Serving Angels is “Serving The People Who Serve”.

In summer 2012, B became a graduate of the evolutionary Americorp’s Public Allies Los Angeles Program which allowed her to serve the community and strengthen her leadership development skills. Public Allies is also where she was voted by her peers and staff as “The Hugganista” because she loves to give away hugs.
Betrice is contributor to Yahoo! Voices and Bossy Magazine. She has her own blog evLovE which highlights influential individuals, businesses and organizations.
Betrice Coleman-Sweet’s background includes Banking (12 years), Real Estate (6 years) as well as Notary Public (10 years). She is also a current member of Alliance for Women in Media, Public Allies and Spectrum Life Design Community.
Betrice serves as a board member for L.E.A.D (Leadership through Empowerment Action and Dialogue) a youth community based non-profit organization. She also served as Committee Chair for The Inaugural EOTM Awards.
Betrice is a mother, wife, businesswoman, community activist and evolutionary hugger.
